The Ministry of Health indicated calcium hypochlorite as a swimming pool disinfectant in the deal between the State and the Regions of 16/01/03. Puraklor HP 73 is a high available chlorine content granular calcium hypochlorite used for pool water treatment. Dissolved in water, it releases hypochlorous acid. Puraklor HP/73 is used for both shock treatment and for continuous chlorination with direct dosers Dosaklor or prior dissolution. Puraklor HP/73 produces a negligible increase in PH, contrary to other kinds of calcium hypochlorite or sodium hypochlorite which require a high usage of acid corrector to keep the pH levels within the limits 7.3-7.5.
